Product Owner – Payments & Open Banking

We’re looking for a Product Owner with experience in payment systems (SEPA, SWIFT, direct bank integrations) to help us build next-generation financial products. If you're ready to take ownership of our payment platform’s evolution, we want to hear from you!

Location: Tallinn, Estonia (Preferred) or Helsinki, Finland

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Own the product roadmap for Trumo’s payment solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with developers, designers, and stakeholders to define product requirements and priorities.
  • Optimize and enhance payment flows, ensuring a seamless experience for customers.
  • Lead integrations with banks and financial institutions (SEPA, SWIFT, open banking APIs, direct integrations).
  • Analyze market trends, regulatory requirements, and user feedback to shape product development.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, security best practices, and industry standards.
  • Define KPIs and success metrics, ensuring data-driven decision-making.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in payments & banking integrations (SEPA, SWIFT, open banking, direct bank APIs).
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role in fintech, banking, or payment processing.
  • Strong knowledge of payment flows, transaction processing, and regulatory considerations.
  • Ability to work closely with engineering teams, translating business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and working in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong communication skills, fluent in English (Estonian or Finnish is a plus).

 

Bonus Points for:

  • Experience with card acquiring, fraud detection, or risk management in payments.
  • Familiarity with PSD2, AML/KYC regulations, and other financial compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with API-based banking integrations.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI principles related to financial applications.
